BIFFY CLYRO - BLACK CHANDELIER / BIBLICAL
10th Anniversary Edition — BioVinyl LP
To celebrate the tenth anniversary of Biffy Clyro’s sixth studio album, Opposites, the band brought together two of the era’s key releases — the Black Chandelier EP and Biblical EP — on vinyl for the first time.
Originally released as singles and accompanying material around Opposites, these nine tracks capture Biffy Clyro at a particularly expansive point in their career. “Black Chandelier” remains one of the band’s most recognisable songs, balancing a huge, melodic chorus with the tension and intensity that has always defined their sound. “Biblical”, meanwhile, brings a more atmospheric and emotionally direct quality, building gradually towards one of the album era’s most memorable climaxes.
The Black Chandelier EP also includes “The Rain”, “Thundermonster”, “Milky” and “City of Dreadful Night”, while the Biblical EP is completed by “Fingerhut”, “Watch” and “Euphoria”. Together, they offer a broader snapshot of the Opposites era beyond the original studio album.
For collectors, this release is particularly notable as these EPs were issued on vinyl for the first time as part of the tenth-anniversary celebrations. The record was also pressed using BioVinyl, a more sustainable bio-based PVC alternative developed for vinyl production without compromising the format’s audio performance.
Presented as a single LP with the original-era artwork, Black Chandelier / Biblical is a compact but significant piece of Biffy Clyro history — bringing together two releases that had previously been difficult to find together in a dedicated physical format.
