BILLIE EILISH - DON'T SMILE AT ME
Limited Edition First International Pressing Clear BioVinyl
Before When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? made Billie Eilish a global phenomenon, there was dont smile at me— the debut EP that introduced the world to an entirely different kind of pop artist.
Originally released in 2017, the eight-track project captures Billie at the beginning of her creative partnership with her brother Finneas. Built around minimalist production, intimate vocals and an often unsettling atmosphere, dont smile at meestablished many of the characteristics that would go on to define her music: whispered vocals, sparse electronic arrangements, dark humour and a remarkable ability to make quiet moments feel enormous.
The EP opens with “COPYCAT”, immediately establishing Billie’s distinctive attitude, before moving through the vulnerable “idontwannabeyouanymore”, the atmospheric “my boy” and the playful “watch”. On the second side, “party favor” and “bellyache” explore more introspective and uneasy territory, while “ocean eyes” remains the defining early recording that first brought Billie widespread attention.
The closing “hostage” brings the EP to a quieter, more intimate conclusion, perfectly capturing the contrast between vulnerability and darkness that became central to Billie’s songwriting.
Although only eight tracks long, dont smile at me feels remarkably complete. It established the creative language that Billie and Finneas would develop across her subsequent albums, while songs such as “ocean eyes”, “bellyache”, “COPYCAT” and “idontwannabeyouanymore” have since become essential early entries in her catalogue.
This limited 2026 First Time International Pressing on Clear BioVinyl gives the debut EP a particularly distinctive place in Billie Eilish’s physical catalogue. The pressing is manufactured using BioVinyl, replacing petroleum-based materials with used cooking oil and waste gases, while the packaging uses FSC-certified recycled materials, plant-based inks and a reusable recycled poly sleeve.
