BLINK 182 - GREATEST HITS

£35.00Price

2LP Black Vinyl — Gatefold Edition

Greatest Hits brings together the defining singles from blink-182’s first decade of releases, charting the band’s journey from the raw energy of their early records through to the polished pop-punk sound that made them one of the biggest bands of their generation.

Originally released as a compilation in 2005, the collection draws from Cheshire Cat, Dude Ranch, Enema of the State, The Mark, Tom and Travis Show, Take Off Your Pants and Jacket and the band’s self-titled album. It captures the evolution of Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker across some of the most recognisable songs in pop-punk history.

The opening run of “Carousel”, “M+M’s”, “Dammit” and “Josie” takes the listener back to the band’s early years before the enormous breakthrough of “What’s My Age Again?” and “All the Small Things”. From there, the album moves through “Adam’s Song”, “Man Overboard”, “The Rock Show” and “First Date”, documenting the period in which blink-182 became one of the defining bands of late-1990s and early-2000s alternative music.

The second disc continues into the more mature material of the self-titled era, including “Feeling This”, “I Miss You”, “Down” and “Always”. The collection closes with two tracks that sit outside the core album sequence: “Not Now”, an outtake from the self-titled sessions, and their cover of “Another Girl Another Planet”, originally associated with Meet the Barkers.

This 2022 Geffen Records reissue is pressed as a 2LP black vinyl edition, housed in a gatefold sleeve with printed inner material. For collectors, it offers a concise physical snapshot of blink-182’s classic era, bringing eighteen essential tracks together across four sides of vinyl.
