GRACIE ABRAMS - GOOD RIDDANCE
Deluxe Edition · 2LP Vinyl
There’s a particular intimacy to Good Riddance that makes it feel less like a conventional debut album and more like being allowed into someone's private thoughts. Released in 2023, Gracie Abrams' first full-length album is a deeply personal collection about heartbreak, uncertainty, distance and the difficult process of letting go.
Produced and co-written largely with Aaron Dessner of The National, the album strips things back rather than hiding behind huge production. Quiet guitars, atmospheric arrangements and Abrams' understated vocals leave plenty of room for the words to do the heavy lifting.
From the opening “Best” and the beautifully restrained “I Know It Won't Work” through to “Where Do We Go Now?”, “I Should Hate You” and “Block Me Out”, the record constantly moves between vulnerability and self-awareness. There's anger here, but also acceptance — the recognition that sometimes the only way forward is to finally stop looking backwards.
This Deluxe 2LP edition expands the original album to sixteen tracks, including favourites such as “The Blue”, “Unsteady”, “405” and “Two People”. Across four sides of vinyl, it captures an artist finding her voice in real time — intimate, emotionally precise and unmistakably her own.
For collectors, Good Riddance represents an important chapter in Abrams' catalogue: the album that turned the quiet, confessional songwriting of her early EPs into a fully realised world of its own.
