HARRY STYLES - HARRY STYLES
Debut Studio Album · 180g Black Vinyl LP
After years as one of the defining members of One Direction, Harry Styles stepped into his own with his self-titled debut — an album that immediately made it clear that his solo career wasn't going to be a simple continuation of his pop past.
Released in 2017, Harry Styles draws from a much broader musical palette, bringing together classic rock, folk, soft rock, psychedelia and singer-songwriter influences. Rather than chasing contemporary pop trends, Styles built a record around live instrumentation, vintage textures and the kind of songwriting that feels deliberately timeless.
The opening “Meet Me in the Hallway” establishes that mood immediately, with its hazy guitars and intimate vocals. Then comes “Sign of the Times”, the sweeping five-minute single that became the defining introduction to Styles as a solo artist. “Carolina” injects a burst of upbeat rock 'n' roll energy, while “Two Ghosts” and “Sweet Creature” reveal a much softer, more reflective side.
The second half of the album becomes increasingly eclectic. “Only Angel” opens with a dramatic piano introduction before exploding into glam-rock territory, while “Kiwi” is one of the album's most raucous moments. “Ever Since New York” and “Woman” lean into the record's more atmospheric side, before “From the Dining Table” closes everything with a stripped-back, intimate finish.
The result is a debut that established Styles as a solo artist with a sound and identity entirely of his own — confident enough to look backwards to classic rock while still feeling distinctly personal.
This 180g black vinyl edition is housed in a gatefold sleeve with a 12-page booklet, making it a particularly strong physical presentation of Styles' first solo chapter.
