HOLLY HUMBERSTONE - PAINT MY BEDROOM BLACK

Limited Edition 140g Eco-Mix Black Vinyl

Holly Humberstone’s debut studio album, Paint My Bedroom Black, is a deeply personal record built around the uneasy space between isolation, relationships and growing into yourself. Released in 2023, it expands the intimate bedroom-pop atmosphere of her earlier work into something darker, fuller and more ambitious.

The album moves through fractured relationships and restless introspection, with Humberstone’s distinctive vocal carrying songs that feel both vulnerable and atmospheric. “Into Your Room”, “Cocoon”, “Kissing In Swimming Pools” and “Ghost Me” balance delicate songwriting with increasingly expansive production, while “Superbloodmoon”, featuring d4vd, adds another dimension to the record’s nocturnal sound.

Elsewhere, “Antichrist”, “Lauren” and “Flatlining” explore the complications of love, self-doubt and emotional distance. The closing “Room Service” leaves the album on a quieter, reflective note, bringing together the intimate storytelling that has become central to Humberstone’s music.

Produced with collaborators including Rob Milton, Sega Bodega and others, Paint My Bedroom Black captures an artist turning the private world of her earlier songs into something larger and more cinematic. It is an album rooted in alternative pop, but one that draws freely from indie rock, electronic production and singer-songwriter traditions.

This edition is pressed on 140g Eco-Mix Black Vinyl, produced using recycled vinyl compound that would otherwise have been discarded. Presented with a lyric sheet insert, it offers a distinctive physical edition of Humberstone’s debut and an album that has become an important part of the modern alternative-pop landscape.
