MACHINE GUN KELLY - LOST AMERICANA
Opaque Brick Red Vinyl + Signed Art Card
With lost americana, Machine Gun Kelly steps beyond the pop-punk revival that defined his previous two albums and opens the door to something broader. His seventh studio album explores a distinctly American musical landscape, blending alternative rock, pop-rock, heartland influences and the melodic instincts that have remained at the centre of his work throughout his career.
Released in August 2025, the album follows Tickets to My Downfall and Mainstream Sellout, but deliberately moves away from the straight-ahead pop-punk formula of those records. Guitars and big choruses remain firmly in place, yet lost americana feels more expansive, drawing on the sounds and imagery of American rock while reflecting on identity, freedom, nostalgia and the search for somewhere to belong.
The album opens with “outlaw overture” before moving through tracks including “cliché”, “dont wait run fast”, “goddamn” and “vampire diaries”. “starman” incorporates elements of Third Eye Blind's “Semi-Charmed Life”, while “orpheus” provides a more reflective closing statement, bringing the album to an atmospheric conclusion.
Across its 13 tracks, lost americana finds mgk continuing to reshape his musical identity. The record retains the emotional directness and oversized hooks that have become synonymous with his recent work, while introducing a more mature and Americana-influenced palette.
This particular edition is especially notable for collectors: the album is pressed on opaque brick red vinyl and was sold through the official Polydor Store with an mgk-signed art card. The combination of coloured vinyl and signed memorabilia makes this a distinctive version of the album and an appealing addition to a Machine Gun Kelly collection.
