MACHINE GUN KELLY - MAINSTREAM SELLOUT
Standard Edition Black Vinyl
Released in 2022, Mainstream Sellout marked the next chapter in Machine Gun Kelly’s transformation from rapper to one of the most visible figures in the modern pop-punk revival. His sixth studio album, and second major collaboration with blink-182’s Travis Barker, it follows the enormous success of Tickets to My Downfall while pushing further into the loud guitars, huge hooks and restless energy of early-2000s pop-punk.
Executive produced by Barker, the album combines MGK’s melodic punk-rock approach with elements of his hip-hop background, creating a deliberately crossover sound that runs throughout the record. Tracks such as “Maybe”, featuring Bring Me The Horizon, “Emo Girl” with WILLOW, and “Make Up Sex” featuring blackbear sit alongside the more aggressive “5150” and “Born with Horns”, while guest appearances from Lil Wayne, Gunna and Young Thug bring flashes of MGK’s earlier musical identity back into the mix.
The album became MGK’s second consecutive US Billboard 200 number-one album and helped cement his position at the centre of the 2020s pop-punk resurgence. It is a record built around the collision of nostalgia and modern production — familiar pop-punk structures, contemporary hip-hop influences and Travis Barker’s unmistakable rhythmic fingerprints.
This is the standard edition on black vinyl, presented as a single LP with the complete 17-track album across two sides. For collectors of the modern pop-punk revival, Mainstream Sellout represents an important release from one of the artists most closely associated with bringing the genre back into the mainstream.
