MUMFORD AND SONS - DELTA TOUR
Limited Edition Heavyweight Black Vinyl LP
Capturing the energy and collaborative spirit of Mumford & Sons on the road, Delta Tour EP brings together six live recordings from across the band’s Delta touring cycle. Released in November 2020, this limited-edition collection celebrates the music, musicians and moments that shaped the band’s live performances during this period.
Rather than simply recreating the studio recordings, the EP showcases the different textures and arrangements that emerged on stage. Recorded across Manchester, Stockholm, Austin, Werchter, Denver and London, each track captures a different moment from the tour, offering a snapshot of the band’s evolving live sound and their collaborations with fellow musicians.
“Slip Away”, recorded live in Manchester, opens the collection, followed by “Blood”, featuring Gang of Youths, recorded in Stockholm. “Blind Leading the Blind” brings the band’s atmospheric songwriting to a live setting, while their performance of Nine Inch Nails’ “Hurt” offers a striking interpretation of the song. The EP also features “Awake My Soul” with The Milk Carton Kids and a performance of The Beatles’ “With a Little Help from My Friends”, recorded in London.
Originally announced as a celebration of the end of the Delta Tour, the release was dedicated by the band to their fans and crew. The collection reflects the connections formed throughout years on the road and the collaborative nature of Mumford & Sons’ live performances.
Pressed on heavyweight black vinyl and issued as a limited-edition release, Delta Tour EP is a distinctive companion to the band’s 2018 album Delta. With recordings from six different cities and a selection of performances that extend beyond the original studio versions, it offers fans a snapshot of a memorable chapter in the band’s live history.
