MUMFORD AND SONS - RUSHMERE
Fairground Transparent Vinyl LP – Limited Edition
Mumford & Sons return with RUSHMERE, their fifth studio album and the first record from the band in seven years. Released in March 2025, the album marks a new chapter for the band, bringing together the familiar energy of their folk-rock roots with a renewed sense of spontaneity, movement and musical exploration.
Produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Dave Cobb alongside Mumford & Sons, RUSHMERE was recorded between the US and the UK and represents a return to the collaborative spirit that has always been central to the band's music. The album takes its name from Rushmere, a pond near the band's childhood home in southwest London — a place connected to the friendships and experiences that helped shape the group.
From the opening warmth of Malibu and the soaring melodies of Caroline to the reflective title track Rushmere, the album moves through themes of memory, relationships, change and the passage of time. The band's ability to combine intimate songwriting with expansive arrangements remains firmly intact, while tracks such as Monochrome and Truth bring a more introspective quality to the record.
The second half of the album continues this journey with Where It Belongs, Anchor and Surrender, before Blood on the Page, featuring Madison Cunningham, adds another voice to the record. Closing with Carry On, the album ends on a note of resilience and forward movement — an appropriate conclusion to a record that looks back while ultimately embracing what comes next.
This limited edition is pressed on Fairground Transparent Vinyl, featuring a distinctive transparent pressing with black and white splatter detailing. The record is housed in a gatefold jacket with a lyric-printed inner sleeve, making it an especially attractive edition for collectors of Mumford & Sons vinyl.
