OLIVIA RODRIGO - YOU SEEM PRETTY SAD FOR A GIRL IN LOVE

Limited Edition “Spark in the Dark” Black Vinyl

Olivia Rodrigo’s third studio album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, sees her return with a record centred on the contradictions of love — the exhilaration, insecurity, obsession and emotional fallout that can come with it. Released in June 2026, it follows the hugely successful SOUR and GUTS, continuing Rodrigo’s evolution while taking her songwriting into new territory.

The album opens with “Drop Dead”, immediately establishing a darker and more dramatic tone, before moving through the playful “Stupid Song”, “Honeybee” and the biting “Maggots for Brains”. Rodrigo continues to balance sharp humour with vulnerability, creating songs that feel intensely personal while retaining the immediacy of her pop songwriting.

Across the record, “U + Me = <3”, “My Way” and “Purple” explore different shades of romantic uncertainty, while the second half moves into more reflective territory with “The Cure”, “Begged” and “What’s Wrong with Me”. The album closes with “Less”, “Expectations” and “Cigarette Smoke”, leaving the record on a more introspective note.

Produced with a contemporary pop-rock sensibility, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love continues Rodrigo’s ability to combine big melodic hooks with candid, emotionally detailed songwriting. It follows the emotional intensity of her earlier records while presenting a new chapter in her musical identity.

This edition is pressed on limited “Spark in the Dark” black vinyl and presented in a gatefold sleeve, making it a distinctive physical edition of Rodrigo’s third studio album.
