PARAMORE - RIOT
Black Vinyl LP – Classic 2000s Pop-Punk Essential
Paramore's Riot! is the album that transformed the Tennessee four-piece from an exciting young rock band into one of the defining names of the 2000s pop-punk and alternative scene. Originally released in 2007, the album captures the band's youthful energy, huge guitar hooks and Hayley Williams' unmistakable vocal presence across eleven tracks.
From the explosive opening of For a Pessimist, I'm Pretty Optimistic through to the instantly recognisable Misery Business, Riot! is packed with the kind of anthemic songwriting that made Paramore stand out from their peers.
The record moves effortlessly between aggressive guitars, infectious melodies and moments of genuine vulnerability, giving it an energy that still feels remarkably immediate.
That's What You Get and Crushcrushcrush became defining Paramore songs, while When It Rains, We Are Broken and Let the Flames Begin reveal the more emotional side of the band. Closing with Born For This, the album finishes with the same sense of urgency and ambition that runs throughout the entire record.
Produced by David Bendeth, Riot! helped establish the musical blueprint that Paramore would continue to develop throughout their career. It remains a landmark release for fans of pop-punk, emo and alternative rock, and an album that played a major role in bringing the genre to a much wider audience.
Pressed on classic black vinyl, this edition presents one of Paramore's most important records in its original 11-track format. A genuine staple for any collection of 2000s alternative, emo or pop-punk records.
