SAM BARBER - BROKEN VIEW
140g Black Vinyl · Studio Album
With Broken View, Sam Barber delivers a raw and introspective second album built around the things that make his songwriting so compelling: love, loss, uncertainty and the difficult business of understanding yourself.
Following the success of his debut Restless Mind, Barber returns with a collection that leans into the emotional space between country, folk and Americana. His distinctive, weathered vocal sits at the centre of the record, surrounded by understated guitars and spacious arrangements that give the songs room to breathe.
The album opens with “Borrowed Time”, before moving through the reflective “Far Past”, “Just A Kid” and “Hate It Here”. The title track “Broken View” sits at the heart of the record, while songs such as “All For You”, “Hopeless Son”and “Lighthouse” continue Barber's exploration of relationships, regret and personal growth.
There's a sense throughout Broken View that Barber isn't trying to overcomplicate things. The songs are direct, emotionally exposed and grounded in real-life experiences — the kind of modern country songwriting where the imperfections are part of the appeal.
Released in 2026 on Atlantic Records, Broken View marks another chapter in Barber's growing catalogue and showcases an artist continuing to carve out his own space between contemporary country and folk. This edition is pressed on 140g black vinyl, giving the album a classic physical presentation.
