SAM FENDER - PEOPE WATCHING
AMAZON EXCLUSIVE GREEN VINYL LP WITH ALTERNATE COVER ARTWORK
Sam Fender’s third studio album, People Watching, was released via Polydor Records on 21 February 2025. A deeply personal and expansive record, it sees the acclaimed North East singer-songwriter continue to explore the lives, relationships and experiences of ordinary people, combining vivid storytelling with the powerful guitar-driven sound that has become his signature.
Written over three years and recorded in London and Los Angeles, the album captures Fender’s ability to turn everyday observations into emotionally resonant songs. His distinctive songwriting moves between personal reflection, nostalgia, grief and the passage of time, balancing moments of vulnerability with soaring choruses and widescreen alternative rock arrangements.
The album was co-produced by Fender alongside Marcus Dravs and Adam Granduciel of The War on Drugs. Their collaborative approach complements Fender’s raw vocal delivery with rich instrumentation and atmospheric production, creating a record that feels both intimate and ambitious.
The title track, “People Watching”, sets the tone with its poignant observations of life and human connection. “Nostalgia’s Lie” reflects on memory and the past, while “Chin Up” and “Wild Long Lie” showcase the album’s emotional range. “Arm’s Length” delivers Fender’s characteristic blend of heartfelt lyricism and anthemic rock, while “Rein Me In”, “Little Bit Closer” and the closing track “Remember My Name” further explore the complexities of relationships and personal identity.
