THIRTY SECONDS TO MARS - A BEAUTIFUL LIE

20 Year Anniversary Edition — Red Vinyl + Signed Art Card

Twenty years after its original release, A Beautiful Lie remains the album that transformed Thirty Seconds to Mars from an ambitious alternative-rock project into an international rock force. Originally released in 2005, the band's second studio album expanded dramatically on the atmospheric sound of their debut, combining cinematic arrangements, heavy guitars and Jared Leto's intensely personal songwriting.

The album is packed with the songs that would come to define the band's early career. “Attack” opens with an immediate sense of scale, before “A Beautiful Lie” and “The Kill” establish the emotional and melodic core of the record. “Was It A Dream?” and “The Fantasy” continue the album's darker, expansive atmosphere, while “From Yesterday” and “A Modern Myth” became enduring fan favourites.

A Beautiful Lie was a major commercial breakthrough for Thirty Seconds to Mars, eventually achieving multi-platinum status and helping establish the band internationally. Its combination of alternative rock, post-hardcore intensity and widescreen production gave the album a distinctive identity, while the band's elaborate visual aesthetic became an increasingly important part of their world.

The 20th Anniversary Edition gives the album a striking new physical presentation. This Polydor Store signed editionfeatures the original 13-track album pressed on red coloured vinyl, housed in a newly designed anniversary sleeve and accompanied by a signed CD art card featuring exclusive artwork.

For collectors, this is a particularly interesting anniversary pressing: a celebrated 2000s rock album presented in a new coloured-vinyl edition, with signed memorabilia making it distinct from the standard anniversary LP.
