Yellowcard return with Better Days, their first full-length studio album since reuniting and a powerful new chapter for one of pop-punk’s most recognisable bands. Released in October 2025, the album brings together the melodic urgency, emotional songwriting and unmistakable violin-led sound that have defined Yellowcard throughout their career, while introducing a renewed sense of energy.
Produced by Travis Barker, who also performs drums throughout the album, Better Days feels both connected to Yellowcard’s classic catalogue and firmly rooted in the present. The record carries the punch of modern pop-punk production while retaining the melodic hooks and emotional directness that helped make albums such as Ocean Avenue, Lights and Sounds and Paper Walls so enduring.
The album opens with “Better Days”, an immediate statement of intent, before moving through “Take What You Want”and “Love Letters Lost”, the latter featuring Matt Skiba of Alkaline Trio. “Honestly I” brings a more introspective tone, while “You Broke Me Too” features Avril Lavigne and adds another familiar voice to Yellowcard’s return.
The second side continues with “City of Angels”, “Bedroom Posters” and “Skin Scraped”, balancing driving guitars with the band's more reflective songwriting. “Barely Alive” builds towards the album’s closing track, “Big Blue Eyes”, bringing the record to an emotionally charged finish.
Better Days is significant not simply because it marks Yellowcard’s return, but because it demonstrates how naturally the band’s established sound can coexist with a new creative chapter. The combination of Travis Barker’s production and drumming, Yellowcard’s melodic songwriting and the distinctive presence of violin gives the album a strong connection to the band's past without feeling like a simple exercise in nostalgia.
This limited edition blue vinyl pressing is housed in a gatefold jacket with a printed inner sleeve. Pressed by Precision Record Pressing, the edition gives Yellowcard’s long-awaited return a distinctive place within the band’s physical catalogue.
